Dr Theodore is Chief of the NINDS Epilepsy Section, Professor of Neurology George Washington University and Treasurer American Epilepsy Society. His research includes experimental drug trials, fMRI for language and memory mapping, PET imaging of neurotransmitter receptors and inflammation, and viral etiologies of epilepsy. He served as a consultant for the Pan American Health Organization, the World Health Organization in South East Asia, and as a collaborator on cysticercosis research in Peru, and has made several trips to Zambia to serve as Visiting Professor at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka where he performed direct patient care as well as teaching and research.
