Melinda Magyari is the director of The Danish Multiple Sclerosis Registry, a consultant neurologist at the Danish Multiple Sclerosis Center, Department of Neurology, University Hospital Copenhagen, Rigshospitalet and associate professor at University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Her major research area is in multiple sclerosis and other inflammatory disorders of the central nervous system with a special interest in the changing epidemiology, gender differences and real word evidence.
During the past years, Melinda Magyari has been involved in epidemiological studies addressing questions regarding comorbidities, reproductive issues and risk factors in multiple sclerosis. Her current research focuses on observational studies investigating the effectiveness, safety and socioeconomic consequences of disease modifying therapies using registries as data source. She is strongly involved in international collaborations with other multiple sclerosis registries and is a member of the BIG MS Network steering committee.
She is a member of several national and international scientific committees including the Scientific Panel of the European Academy of Neurology.
