Hadas Stiebel-Kalish serves as the Director of Neuro-Ophthalmology at Rabin Medical Center, Israel and is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Tel Aviv University Sackler School of Medicine and Felsenstein Research Center. She completed a clinical fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary with Dr. Mark Kupersmith. After graduating from Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical School she trained in Ophthalmology and continued with several basic research projects at Sheba and Tel Aviv University. Her research interests align well with her clinical career and include studying the means for long-term preservation of vision in neuro-ophthalmology patients (mainly Neuromyelitis Optica, Multiple Sclerosis, Pseudotumor Cerebri & Visual Pathway Meningiomas) and continues with basic research on an animal model of LCA and NMO. The team at the Neuro-Ophthalmology Unit at Rabin Medical Center serve around 3500 neuro-ophthalmology referrals each year.
