Janine Diehl-Schmid, MD, is a board certified psychiatrist and psychotherapist. She is employed at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of Technical University of Munich, where she serves as a senior consultant and is co-heading the Center for Cognitive Disorders. Her research interests include frontotemporal dementia, young onset dementia and, more recently, palliative care in dementia. In 2016 she was conference - chair of the 10th International Conference on Frontotemporal Dementias (ICFTD) hosted in Munich. She is board member of the German Consortium for Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration and she co-authored the diagnostic criteria of behavioral variant FTD (Rascovsky et al., 2011).
