Jaroslaw W. Slawek, MD, PhD i s a Professor at Medical University of Gdansk and Head of Neurology&Stroke Department at St. Adalbert Hospital in Gdansk, Poland.He is a movement disorders specialist with particular interest in Parkinson's Disease (neuropsychiatric aspects, genetics, DBS and infusion therapies), atypical parkinsonian syndromes, Huntington's Disease, dystonia and spasticity treatments with Botulinum toxin. He is an author and co-author of more than 150 papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He is currently a President of Polish Neurological Society, Polish Brain Council and Co-Editor -in-Chief (with Prof. Zbigniew K. Wszolek) of Polish Journal of Neurology & Neurosurgery. He is a member of Polsih Neurological Society, Parkinson's Disease & Movement Disorders Society and International Association of Parkinsonism & Related Disorders, Honorary Member of Polish Society of Parkinson's Disease &Other Movement Disorders.
