Dr Peter Venn has been a Consultant in Sleep Medicine and Anaesthesia at the Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, East Grinstead, West Sussex since 1991.
He was an elected member of Council for six years and Vice President of the Royal College of Anaesthetists 2014-15.
He was founder of the Sleep Disorder Centre in East Grinstead in 1992, now one of the largest centres for sleep medicine in the UK. He was a member of the organising committee and past Membership Secretary of the British Sleep Society. He has published in sleep disorders and anaesthesia in journals, books and on the internet. He has lectured at home and abroad in both subjects.
